• I like the functionality of this. Very simple to use, was quite pleased.

[Edit: I’ve updated my review to 5/5 after the fix in version 2.3 for the below. Thanks!]

My one and only beef with this plug-in:

My users with a Contributor status can see the Content Protector settings. Bad. Only the Admin should see the content protector settings.

I don’t know if you can use the short codes for this plug-in in a blog, didn’t try, but Contributors cannot edit pages. I haven’t tested to see whether people at the subscriber level can see the configuration settings, but again, it should be limited to the admin privilege level.

I verified that subscribers cannot see the plug-in settings, but I still maintain that only users at the admin level should be able to see them, not contributors or anyone else.

    Hi, markwadetaylor.

That’s actually a pretty good point. Right now, access to the settings is open to edit_posts, but it should probably be a bit mote restrictive, or at least it should be configurable. Thanks for the feedback; I’m going to look into this for upcoming releases.

    Hi, markwadetaylor.

As of 2.3, access to the Settings page is restricted to those with the manage_options permission.

Perfect, thank you. I’ve updated the plug-in. Thank you for your attentiveness.
