user level and Limit Categories

  • i just donwload the plugin “Limit Categories” and it’s kinda works,but still not perfect.
    The users register at my website and they will automatically promote to level 1, and “Limit Categories” display 2 cats as i wanted. however, the users (level1) can’t publish their stories, only save in draft.

    is there any chance i can make it so level1 can publish?

    ‘edit’ i think i solved it now, hack the register.php to level 2 and in “limit cat” php change to 3 ??

  • No, but you can give new users level whatever by default (it’s in the options panel). Are you using WP 2.0 or 1.5 ?

    hm… i just upgrade to newest wp and i can’t find the level thing like in 1.5.2 version. anyone knows where i can change new register users direct to level2 ?
