User gallery?

Is fantastic creation by adding user account Members Album.I am using “Opa Jaap-green.skin” and sees a mistake in page “members” and “members>users”.The icon “New” and the name of members not aligned,sits below the usual position.

A “feature request” maybe ? ( or how do I do this ? )

My site is heavily moderated. One only need to browse some of the other popular photo sites ( such as tumblr ) to see why.

We’d like to create a roll ( or group ) for site moderators that are not also administrators, and grant the specific moderator roll rights to moderate ( approve, disapprove, basic admin ) uploaded photos in all albums, but at the same time denying access to upload, settings and such for albums not their own.

Presently ( unless I misunderstand ) the choice is owner only, which is owner and the whole site administrator only, or everybody can do everything to anyone’s albums.
Now, either the administrator has to moderate, not good because the admin workload is greatly increased, or a moderator role has to be granted rights to access areas of the site administration we definitely do not want, or everybody can do everything. We need something between. A photo moderator with limited abilities in the wppa area only.

It seems an third choice along with owners only, which would be nothing checked ( as it is now ) owners only checked ( as it is now ) and a third choice, probably another check box, owners only AND a selected role, which would behave as owners only does now, but rather than being limited to owner and admin, would be limited to the owner, admin, and a selected role, in my case the photo_moderator role.

Can this functionality be achieved as it is now somehow ?

If you create a (custom made) role, it will appear in Table VII-A.
You can give them album access rights, then they can moderate ( as far as i remember now ) pls try, and hit me if i’m wrong…

It gives them ability to moderate their own album, if owners only is checked, but if owners only is not checked, then everyone can do things with albums not their own.

Is there a way to get to the wppa admin page that does NOT involve the “admin bar” or “dashboard” ?
( trying every way I can to get rid of those )

If it’s assignable to any desired role, or group, YES !!
( ideally, it would be a check box on your wppa config page and allow or disallow what’s already there, just as if it’s a site role )

Unfortunately, that means that the typical ( lower levels ) user *must* be given admin access to administer their own album.

I’d like a way to give a user limited abilities to administer their own album but without giving them any more than that, or even telling a potential hacker/cracker that there even might be more than that, is why I ask.
I’m OK with having to write a custom page to do so, or even requiring another “capabilities manager” plug in, or both, to make it happen.

Oh, and may I also echo a comment somewhere up the page….
Your support for this plugin goes well above and beyond, compared to most of the others, and most software anywhere in general in my ( not limited ) experiences.
More fluff, it’s also BY FAR the best, most versatile photo management package I’ve run across ! ( you can quote me if you like )

Fooling around with a few other plug-ins I was able to remove most of the administrative capabilities from low level users who should never have it.

All I need now, is a workable moderator.

What i ment is a new column in Table VII-A so you can give wppa moderate rights to any existing role, without any other wppa right.

It may be possible ( have to find out first ) to add something like an ‘approve’ button ( like the ‘new’ indicator ) to approve from the front-end. Would that be nice or not…

Found the column, and the check box, but it doesn’t appear to do anything ?
Possibly, something else needs checked ?
I was expecting “moderate” to bypass “owners only” but either I wasn’t clear ( likely ) or ???

Make sure you are logged in as a user with the wppa_moderate capability.
Look at a page with an album that contains ‘pending’ photos, either thumbnails or slideshow.
You will see the red ‘Awaiting moderation’ line, AND: the Green ‘Approve’ link. Click it and the photo is published.
