User field on front facing form not loading users

    I have a front facing form. One of the fields is the ACF User field. This is so the author can add another researcher’s name to the project they are creating. However, the field will not load the users unless it is saved first. Is there a way to get the user field to load users on a front facing form?

    Thanks for the feedback!

    I just tested it and it works fine on my end (both for logged and non-logged users). Here is the video of my test.

    I would recommend to setup a clean WP install with ACF Pro and ACF Extended only and make the some test on it. If you prefer to keep your installation, then try to disable all your plugins one-by-one (at the exception of ACF Pro & ACF Extended) until you find which one cause the issue.

    If the problem persists, I would suggest to also switch to the native WP Twenty Twenty Two theme, just to make sure you don’t have any custom code in your theme that would break the feature.
