• Hello and thank you for this amazing plugin! It’s really, really wonderfull how far we can go with it!
I have some little questions about user events :
    – is it possible to make their events private?
    – is it possible not to give them the possibility to choose a category?
    – and is it possible for theme to add friends for these events, like a form with an email list to send the proposition of event?
Thank you a lot, and have a nice day!
    Alice

  • Hi Alice,

Glad you’re enjoying the plugin ??

Adding an option to make event private is only something that could be done with custom coding.

The Add Event page has an option to choose a category when submitting an event.

Adding bookings at the time of submission would only be possible with custom coding.

    To add to Caimin’s reply:

I read your questions in two ways:
    1) You could choose to let user events select an event category as “Private” by adding it to the categories and then excluding this category ID from the calendar {events_list category=”-3″], where 3 = Category ID 3 (Private).

    or 2)
Use custom coding to disable the event categories for certain user roles so they do not see that option when submitting an event.

Option 2 would “limit” the users as then all user submitted events will always be private. That might be a choice though. ??

I think it might be possibly be the “easiest” to redirect the user after submitting an event to invite friends, using custom coding. Adding it to the submitting process might be harder. ??

    Thank you for your reply!
Of course, it’s simple said like that! I think I will choose a category to do it. So I was wondering, if the event is not showing for people who don’t have access, coult it at least be possible to mark the day as already reserved, without showing title or anything?
    Thank you a lot!
Have a nice day, and good job ??

That should be possible but it would take a some custom coding, possibly using a custom conditional placeholder:
