Hello,

the website recently went live and since then the newsletter plugin doesn’t work anymore. Subscribers just don’t receive the activation link

The subscribers are shown in the backend and I can try to resend the Activation link but it still doesn’t work.

Furthermore, I can’t delete the user that already tried to sign up.
If I click the delete it simply does nothing.

Lastly, If I try to sign up with an e-mail address that already exists I just get this message: “Database error. If you were saving a newsletter try a table upgrade from the status panel.”

regular Mails still work, so it’s not like sending emails doesn’t work.

I already tried deactivating all plugins and switching to a standard Theme, but nothing helped. Hope someone can help with those problems.

Hi, set the log level to debug on the main plugin settings, repeat some actions and then check on System>Logs for logs files. If you can report the errors reported we can analyze them.

Hi I don’t see specific errors that could be related to your case. There is not a store-xxx.txt log?

Since you said the site went live, do you mean a database copy has been deployed in production? Could be the Newsletter tables have not migrated correctly (very rare, btw).

When you send a test from the System panel does it work?

When I send a test Newsletter to myself it actually arrives. The problem is probably specifically with the activation-link e-mail.

The database wasn’t copied, I just change the URLs in the database

I’ve looked some more into this and I think there must be some kind of database error.
I can neither delete any subscribers nor add new ones and I constantly get the Database error message.

Is there maybe a way to completely reset the plugin and database tables? I guess that the error is since we went live with the site and changed the URLs in the database.

Hi, you can delete all tables starting with wp_newsletter* prefix. Remember to deactivate and reactivate the plugin so the table can be recreated.
