    Hi,
    You are seeing this error because you don’t have SSL installed on your site. Nowadays, most major browsers required a secure page in order to use the geolocator feature. This restriction was added to the browsers for security/privacy purposes.

    The only way to be able to use the geolocator feature is by installing SSL certificate.

    Kind regards,

    Hello,
    I am in charge of a website for a company. I have to integrate the plugin “geo my wp” to this website which has the particularity to use the theme “Sweetdate”. I specify that the server uses ssl.
    The installation and activation of “Geo my Wp” was not a problem. But I guess the plugin setting is not correct, because I do not get any results. It’s been a month since I’m stuck. And I have no alternative but to come and ask for your help.
    To be as specific as possible, I will give details. To begin, I’m waiting for the plugin only, that it allows a user to launch a search with ranges of distances (related to a city that will be returned). That’s all !

    1) Regarding the modules of the plugin, I noticed that there is a module named “sweet date geolocation”. I would like to know if he alone can do what I expect? Or do I have to activate the other basic modules like “post location” or “single location”?

    2) Before installing the plugin, there was already a field where you had to type the city where you were looking for members. But since the installation of the plugin “Geo my wp” there is another city field, and other parameters. And when you click on “Ok”, there is always a message that says no member has been found. It’s strange because in reality there are members precisely in the chosen city.

    It may be easy solution, but this is the first time I use this kind of plugin. I am lost while I have to return the work for the company soon. So thank you for your help in advance.

    @mongol,

    1) In order for members to be searchable and show in search results and on the map, they need to add their location using the Location tab of the BuddyPress member profile page. Using a profile fields for the address will not work. The Location tab is generated by GEO my WP once you enable the Members Locator core add-on ( GEO my WP Addons page ). This Members Locator add-on is required for the integration between Buddypress and GEO my WP.

    2) When the Sweetdate Geolocation core add-on, GEO my WP will add geolocation features to the search form of the BuddyPress directory page. That is, in addition to the search forms generated by GEO my WP and the Members Locator add-on.

    Let me if this helps.

    Hello,
    I’m getting error messages like “Geocoder failed due to: REQUEST_DENIED”. Can I ask you to put the parameters in my place and see if your plugin works properly? Thank you in advance for your response.
