User database

I am creating a website for a small non profit community. one thing we want to do is be able to keep a lot of the membership information online and I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this with a wordpress plugin. I am currently looking for anything that may allow me to add or remove fields in the user area but haven’t found anything yet.

any suggestions?
