User count is wrong

    Over weeks was all ok. Now are to much users (8+). I created new group and imported vis csv.
    To begin was ok 1245.
    Later to less 1228, now again to much 1253.

    It says 440* duplicates? to what.
    How to get again the same count as wp users?
