User capabilities issue

Hello, I was just wondering if somebody would be able to help me out please?

I am having a slight issue with the events manager plugin. I am trying to use it alongside buddypress. In the user capabilities section, even though it is set for subscribers NOT being able to publish events, they still can. Also, i cannot see where buddypress groups can create events either.

As you may have gathered, I wish for groups to create the events, not subscribers.

I would really appreciate any help.
