One of my editors just asked me about a password reset sent to him which he hadn’t initiated (nor had I). When I looked at our list of users in the Admin section, there was one called host that I certainly hadn’t created or authorised (it had no email or name or role associated with it). While I hadn’t noticed it before, I’m not in the habit of looking at the Users page. I was unsure about deleting it, in case it was a system “user”.

Are you with a managed hosting provider?

If so, I recommend asking their support if that’s part of their integration.

As for the password reset email, I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s only a problem if the person attempting that has access to your email too.

    Thanks.

Yes, it is with a managed provider, so that is a good idea. And thank you for that reassurance as the IP address of the request was from Romania – not necessarily an encouraging sign.
