    I recently had a user create an account and submit a post. Later, they went in and made changes to their name. However, for some reason, the article still shows the original name rather than the updated name or the “Display name publicly as”. I tried to completely change the author’s name within the editor. That change is accepted and seen there, both on the page listing posts and on the post itself, no changes were made.

    Is this a flaw or a feature? Is there a way to fix this?

    Hi Tim, the only way to change the name that is submitted with the post is to edit the user_submit_name custom field. You can find it in the Custom Fields panel on the “Edit” screen for any submitted post. Let me know if any questions about this, glad to help anytime.
