User badges next to usernames.

I’m looking to have a badge/icon 16px by 16px next to usernames so visitors will know whos in authority. I’m aware Enjin.com have this tool as a simple plugin. I was wondering if it is possible to have it on wordpress any way possible. And if so, how do i implement it. I would like it to show up on my wordpress site all the time aswel as our bbpress forums. I dont mean exactly the same as Enjin.com. I just want my own designed icon to be displayed next to usernames of my choosing…
