I’m using the “Ban User Agents list”.

I add a user agent, say TosCrawler/Nutch-1.6, and click “Save Changes”.
When the page reloads, the UA is now TosCrawler/Nutch-1\.6
The next time I save the page, the UA becomes TosCrawler/Nutch-1\\\\\.6, then the next time it becomes TosCrawler/Nutch-1\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\.6 etc.

You might want to be less specific. The plugin is trying to escape literal characters, that’s why you keep seeing the backslashes.

Since I do not believe there is a being or end string, just use this:

    TosCrawler/Nutch-1

    Ok, I’ll try that, thanks.

    Actually, a quick question:

Let’s say I want to ban
    AhrefsBot/1.0
    AhrefsBot/2.0
    AhrefsBot/3.0
    AhrefsBot/3.1

Do you think I should use

    AhrefsBot

    OR

    AhrefsBot/1
    AhrefsBot/2
    AhrefsBot/3

    ?

    Me personally, I would use:

    Ahrefs

But if you want to be on the safe side use:

    AhrefsBot
