    Dear Community,

where can I find the function that I, as an administrator, can change the user’s details afterwards?

So for example I have a field “Association” (DropDown, simple selection). There the affiliation of a person has changed, so I want to note this in the system. For the “Administrator” role, I have already selected that administrators can edit other users’ fields. However, I just can’t find where.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

The only way I know so far is to log in to the user and change the data on their profile page. However, this is not an optimal solution.

    Kind regards
    Lisa

    Hello @ls1146

If you are trying to change details for users on your website, you can go to their profile > click on the gear icon and click on the “Edit profile” link from the dropdown. This way you will be able to edit the user’s profile as an administrator. Please check this screenshot.

    Hello!

Thank you – if i click on the gear icon i can’t see the “edit profile” link. I just see something like: Delete account, deactivate account, login as the user..?
How do i get to see the edit profile link?

    Thank you! ??

Ah, got it! If someone has the same problem, maybe this will help:

I had not selected a specific role where I can edit the profile (in the user roles). After selecting the specific roles I want to be able to change, it worked!

It’s a little confusing because in the “question mark” it says that if I don’t select a role, that I can edit the profiles of all roles. Unfortunately, that did not work.
