user achievments/badges / rights concept

  • hi,

    is it possible that registered users can create their own achievments/badges?
    the settings of badgeos only provide the roles admin/author/Editor.

    it would be cool if there was a rights concecpt, where users can onlx manage their own achievments/badges?

    are there plans to integrate this feature in future?

    Nothing out of the box for this topic, since achievements are ultimately posts in post types. This is why “subscriber” level user can’t create their own without custom coding a solution. Subscribers don’t have create post capabilities.

    I would find it interesting if someone used something like Gravity Forms or some other form setup that creates new posts, and wires the form up to the achievement types. At worst, it’d provide an avenue for users to make suggestions for achievement types that could be reviewed by staff and completed for other details like requireement setup.

    Not sure about integration in the future, it very well could be best left to an addon.
