• I’ve just performed a clean installation of WP 4.5.3 and installed Version 1.1.0.3 of the WordPress Wiki plugin and I’d like to know about Wiki user accounts and access control. I understand that many of the features of WordPress Wiki are only available in the premium version but I’d like to know:

Are Wiki users different than WordPress users?
If Wiki users are not different than WordPress users: What makes the Wiki significantly different than WordPress pages?

  • Hello epretorious, i hope all is well!

Are Wiki users different than WordPress users?

No, the Wiki users are the same users registered at your WordPress site.

If Wiki users are not different than WordPress users: What makes the Wiki significantly different than WordPress pages?

With Wiki plugin you will be able to
    – Add New Wikis frpm the front-end
    – Edit the existing Wikis from the front-end.
    – Embed media files – video, images, audio
    – It comes with a notification system

Plus, the Wiki plugin provides history revisions and discussions section from the front end.

If you have the Pro version you can allow to your Subscribers to create their own Wikis.
