• Sorry if this is on here already, I did look.
I am new to WordPress, another company has created by site and now I am the Super Admin, I have a question.
I would like my team to update our Jobs page daily with new opportunities, however, is it possible to restrict access to this particular page only? – I have tested a few of the levels but it looks like it relates to a blog type page, which we don’t have or use.
    Thanks
    Jemma

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • When you say “Jobs page”, is this a standard WordPress PAGE, or is this “Jobs page” from some plugin? If the latter, what plugin is it?

Thanks George, I see you can’t upload a picture and unfortunately I have no idea, it is on the left on the menu and looks like it is part of the site (with suitcase icon) and not a plug in but I can’t be sure, how will I know?

    I see you can’t upload a picture

The forum does not support uploading images at all (not just for you). You can upload images to a free site like https://snipboard.io/ and paste the image URL here.

it is on the left on the menu and looks like it is part of the site (with suitcase icon) and not a plug in but I can’t be sure,

The screenshot below shows what the left menu of a “stock” WordPress dashboard looks like (ie without adding ANY custom 3rd-party theme or plugin).

Anything else you see (including the suitcase icon you mentioned) is either from a plugin or custom theme.

Also, the ending of the URL you gave (post_type=job_listing) clearly uses this is a custom post type “page”, created by a theme or some plugin — and not WordPress itself.

And WordPress itself doesn’t have any “jobs” feature at all — that must surely have come from a plugin (or theme). Yes, it may be part of the site, but it’s a 3rd-party addon (theme or plugin) that you or someone installed after installing WordPress, and not something that came by default with WordPress.

Can you give the URL of the “jobs” page (if it’s published) so I can take a look? If not, can you mention your active theme and all the plugins active on your site?
