    Hey mizzinc,

There isn’t an easy way to do this without changing the plugin code, but there are some plugins out there which will allow you to manage this, such as this one.

I’m not sure what you’re requirements are but it may not be necessary for your editors or shop managers to need access to the plugin’s Settings pages, as any of the plugin options can be changed using the built in shortcode options, which are under the #3 tab on the plugin’s Settings page labeled ‘Customize your feed’. For example, if they need to change the User ID in the feed then they could just used:

    [instagram-feed id="ANY_USER_ID"]

Let me know whether that helps.

Thanks for the exteremly quick response John.
Request to change this is because the access code constantly needs updating to show the feed. Rather me doing it everytime it would be easier for the Editor or Shop Manager.

I’m comfortable editing the plugin code and understamd this will be overwritten upon updates.

    Hey mizzinc,

If the Access Token keeps expiring then rather than continuing to refresh it then my best suggestion would be to follow the advice in this FAQ: https://smashballoon.com/my-instagram-access-token-keep-expiring/. If that solves the problem for you then it would be a lot easier than editing the plugin code so that shop owners to have to continually refresh the Access Token.

If that doesn’t solve the problem and the new Access Token continues to expire then it could be that you’re exceeding the 5000 requests per hour limit due to high traffic. We’re currently working on an update which will include caching and so if that’s the problem then that update should fix the issue for you.

    John
