I have used contact form 7 on custom content pop-up and select “Refresh or do nothing (use for Ajax Forms)” option but the pop-up close after form submit. It’s not good for ajax form. I think wpmudev need to create an option only have “do nothing” so that when anyone have ajax form the pop-up will not close. How visitor understand if the pop-up close on submit without seen the success or error message? Also i try with other option also. No matter what option choose. Every option work same things. Closing pop-up after submit.

Please fix this problem as soon as possible. If it’s not possible to fix please let me know. I need to create the pop-up form myself.

  • I am not able to duplicate this using a default WordPress theme and default Hustle settings in a custom content pop-up. When I submit the Contact Form 7 I get the success message and then I can choose to close the pop-up.

I have it set to the “Refresh or close (default)” option

Could you share your URL, what theme you are using and what version of PHP you are running?

Here is the url i am using the custom content pop-up https://www.heatherpenny.com/the-blog/ You can see when you click on submit button the site reloading. No matter what FORM SUBMIT option i am using.

I have setup the POP UP DISPLAY CONDITIONS as On specific URL and set the url https://www.heatherpenny.com/the-blog/ and as you do change the FORM SUBMIT option from Refresh or do nothing (use for Ajax Forms) to Refresh or close (default)

Here is the site system info
    Current theme: Avada 5.0.6
    WP Version: 4.7.3
    PHP Version: 5.6.29
    WP Memory Limit: 128 MB
    Hustle Version: 5.0.1.1

    Hi @easyootstrap,

I did some further tests on my installation and I was unable to replicate the behaviour I see on your site.

You can see how it behaves for me here:
    https://org.dubajicp.com/page-with-popup/

Could you follow the instructions from Josh and test with default WP theme and other plugins disabled so we can see if it’s related to that?

    Cheers,
    Predrag

    Hi @easyootstrap,

    Apologies for the delay here.

Our developers were about to check this but they were unable to replicate the issue on their installation.

Since my test install where I was checking this previously is gone I’ve created two new installations and now I can’t replicate the issue there anymore ??

It looks like I had something on my old installation that caused this but I can’t determine what.

Could you please perform a test with default WP theme and with other plugins disabled so we can see if there are any conflicts on that end?

    Best regards,
    Predrag

I am having the same issue. Contact form 7 in a slide-in. Both “refresh and Close” and “Refresh … with Ajax” the form closes on submit. How can I have it stay open and manually close so they see the error or completion messages when they submit?

    kind regards,
