• I was going to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, but I am just continuously getting disappointed with their support. I am a paying customer, bought countless plugins and even hired them for custom work. Yet, when I ask for support I am met with arrogance and a treatment as if customers are scum and idiots for having problems. In particular a support agent going under the name “Robert”. Always the same thing, everything is a debate with the is guy, having to prove his superiority. It’s embarrassing. Instead of working towards solving this issue, this guy just leaves you in the cold. They don’t even seem to be interested in figuring out what is wrong so they can optimize their plugins to work for all installs.

    Even if I wanted to stick to wpforo I can’t, because I cannot trust these people to offer adequate support. Honestly, it’s the worst support I have ever come across running my site and having purchased countless plugins.

    If your forum is small and your hosting is powerful, you can disable wpForo cache in wpForo > Settings, so the views will be updated on the fly.

    You’ve opened 54 support topics and the guys you are mentioning helped you with more than 200 replies during last 3 years. You have gotten many solutions to fix lots of custom requests. They have solved lots of topics opened by you. I don’t think it’s fair to complain if some issues cannot be fixed.

    You have three layers of caching WP Rocket + Cloudflare + Redis Object Cache in your website. This makes tons of problems and the issues become almost impossible to fix. We’ve already recommended to use one cache solution to make the support life easier. But you don’t want to stop using such a mix of cache.

    Whatever. Our team has done everything to help you, and they did help you a lot. But as far as I see, the 1-star review is the maximum you could return as “Thank You”.

    Well, there you have it. This is the “help” you get. You ask for support and you get the blame that it’s YOUR fault because YOUR site is bad and they’ll just leave it at that and call it “support”. Nonchalant, arrogant, and it seems almost as if they hate their jobs and their customers.

    I am only a website admin who is trying to get things to work and I also come with suggestions on how to improve theme etc, but again, I am met with this arrogance and almost like they want to call me an idiot for doing it.

    Thanks a lot guys, how professional of you. I have used WordPress for years, I have received support from countless plugin authors, and never have I been treated this poorly, ever.

    Instead of complaining about the one star review, which is my honest opinion, maybe you should think about why you received a one star review and how you can improve things. Do you think I do this for fun? I do it to leave MY honest opinion for others who are looking for honest feedback before committing to a forum software. Because once you commit to it, you might be stuck with it, so support is essential.

    Maybe I should expect no support at all after this considering how I’ve been treated, but so be it then. I wouldn’t mind actually finding an alternative solution because I cannot trust your support.

    And I can tell you this, I’ve used wpforo now for more than two years and it’s been like this since day one!

    Ok, you can have your opinion and read other users reviews. People love our support and they have always seen respect and willing to help.

    If support says it’s too bad to use three cache plugins, it doesn’t mean he shows his superiority. He just wants to help you stop using them. This was the only reply I can relate to your disappointment.

    Hey, I am happy people love your support. I am only here to share MY experience. If 99% loves your support, that is great. This is not a competition for me.

    I still don’t know why you continue to throw it in my face that I use three cache solutions when I have excluded wpforo in both WP Rocket and Cloudflare? I really don’t get that. I’m sure you know how common Cloudflare is? I am sure you are also aware of how common page cache is, even in combination with CF. Redis is database cache and has nothing to do with WP Rocket or CF.

    Instead of arguing with me about these solutions, why not work on trying to find a solution or work on making your software compatible with these? Every website is unique, my website is unique. You can’t expect all to have one particular cache solution or none at all. There are websites far more complex than mine.

    Sorry, I just don’t get it. I have nothing against you guys and I think you have a good product, but it’s not working 100% for me and your support almost seems to be working against me, rather than working with me.

    Weirdest thing ever. They open a thread about this review on their website, maybe to incite members against me, and then when it doesn’t seem to go their way they close the thread with the words that I “don’t deserve their support”. How nice. Hope you’re happy getting the final word. Tbh, I don’t think this will look too good for you guys. Maybe in the future try to work on your customer service and how you approach people rather than just demanding everyone loves you.

    For the record, I still have issues with the forum and it was still not solved. Instead everything just turned into a debate about my review. Not that I was getting any help to solve the issues anyways. They’ve just decided my “caching” is the problem and left me on my own.

    If anyone is reading this and even for one second believes I am being a Karen about this, it’s not true. I just want help to solve the issues with the forum. I would be more than happy to give these guys a 5 star review, but it seems they don’t allow me to. They just focus on the wrong things and obviously I am not even welcome anymore to their forum for support as they clearly stated I don’t deserve it.

    Beware if you’re thinking about committing to wpforo. Your website needs to live up to their specific demands and requirements, otherwise you are left on your own.
