Our company uses Wordfence and is extremely happy with it. Five stars!

Unfortunately, security plugins cannot always detect and/or remove malware introduced via obfuscated files or code.

So, in addition to Wordfence, I encourage you to use SiteGuarding (a Base64 malware detection tool) to verify your website is clean. I haven’t found any other online tool that does this. If you know of any, please share!

This PSA is offered to complement Wordfence and help its users.

    Cheers!

Note: I’m not affiliated with Wordfence nor SiteGuarding. Simply offering goodwill support.

  • Hello

Just commenting on “I haven’t found any other online tool that does this” Several website security providers are offering free external website security scan. However, Just few that really detect & analyze sophisticated malware injections (i.e: credit card skimmers, etc). The rest are just looking for basic patterns such as base64 or specific keywords. Just Google free website scanner or checker and you will find many others that you can try. Have a great one

    Hi @moeo,

Thank you. Already did that (prior to posting this topic).

If you can provide the URL of the specific online tools that are as good as (or better) than the one above for detecting Base64 malware, please share.

    Cheers!
