• I don’t use all the features of the free version, but the ones I use are well implemented. What I miss is a function that puts a “DSGVO checkbox” under the comment function. Therefore there is a point to be deducted. The fixing of a small bug, which I noticed, was fixed very fast.

    hi @lichttraeumer,

    thanks for your rating!
the feature “DSGVO checkbox” under the comment function was removed because its not required by the gdpr. it’s enough to have the corresponding texts in the privacy policy which we render there if you have enabled “comments form” in “page basics” settings.

    Hi Lichttr?umer!

There is no need for a GDPR Checkbox under a comment.
The data processing is based on a contract between the user and the website owner who allows the user to post comments. The data processing is necessary to fullfill this contract – to show the comment.

So this a good example of not necessary gdpr checkboxes. Very similar to checkboxes in a shop checkout where users agree to the privacy policy which aren’t needed, too.

Hopefully this legal answer gives us back the deducted point. ??

    Best regards Peter
