• We are using this plugin to display announcements in our office. It is working great now that we understand what it can and can’t do. It seems strange that we had to add some code to get it to respect formatting such as lists but it is easy enough to add and now works like I’d expect. The developer was incredibly responsive and helpful when we reached out to him.

@dtatem – Thanks for the fantastic feedback. I would be interested to know what we could do to get that extra star back. We take pride in our reviews so let us know if there is anything that would change your mind.

As to the styling, that is kinda on the WP theme your using. As a general rule of thumb themes that use resets like that should also include base styling for all elements, that theme didn’t for whatever reason. They only added stylings for lists and stuff added inside their specific content wrapper. I suspect you would have the same issues you you tried to add lists anywhere outside that container such as custom templates.

I will look into adding some optional base stylings, but we can’t do it by default as it would cause most of our users sites to all of a sudden look different and not match their themes. But for the case where this occurs and it happens a often enough to consider an option to just turn something on would be great.

PS if you do it quick you could be our 350th 5star review ??

I would happily give 5 stars if:
    1. the formatting was respected without having to enter the extra code
    2. I could make the pop up appear without a page reload after a certain amount of time

I would certainly give you 5 stars for communication and support!

@dtatem – I do have concerns about #1 because ultimately you can never please everyone, and I for see complaints that users popup styles don’t match their theme, for instance theme uses square unordered list icons, and we set it to circles. Which is why we left it to the pros, the theme creators. Another issue also comes when switching themes, all of a sudden your square list icons are now open circles and the popups don’t match again. Where if we leave it to the theme and you change themes the list in your popup will still match properly. Unfortunately there is no perfect solution other than to convince theme authors to do things correctly.

PS This specific issue only happens with maybe 1/500 sites, not a very common issue as most themes have it. So I am not sure it is fair to hold that one against us ??

As I said though will make it an optional feature in the next major release.

As for #2 you already can. With v1.4 you can add multiple auto open triggers to the same popup, each can have its own cookies, delays etc. Just try adding a trigger. No limits now ??

@dtatem – Did you find the settings for adding multiple delay based triggers?

I did play with them a bit but I must still be missing something. Even with a combination of the trigger and short lived cookie I cant get the pop up to appear without a page reload. It is a crazy time of year since it is the end of the semester but I will have more time to revisit this soon. It still does everything I need and almost everything I want!

@dtatem – Do you have a link I can look at. To clarify what do you mean without a refresh. Popup triggers are independent of eachother, if they are all looking at different cookies each will fire based on its own settings alone.

IE Trigger #1 doesn’t care what #2 does.

Let me know where I can see it and I’m happy to help you configure it to work however?
