Used to be brilliant :(

  • This used to be one of the best free themes, but unfortunately it seems the developer was more concerned with raking in the coin than with customer service, as it has nose dived over the last few months, especially in their official Facebook group which is now run by some seriously dictatorial ‘users’.

    More and more features keep being thrown in, and the price of the addons rising to compensate for this, but the base theme is tied so closely now to Elementor, that you feel like you have to buy the premium plugins in order to carry on.

    And don’t get me started on the nags that the theme puts into the dashboard!

    Oh well, time to find a cheaper freemium theme

    Because I have now had both Facebook accounts removed from the ‘official’ community support group, for having the temerity to ask why the cost of purchasing a single license for Elementor Widgets had gone up from 9.99 to 29.99!

    The Ocean Sticky Header plugin also went from $9.99 to $29.99, and when I tried asking about it (because the official plugin page still listed the price at $9.99 — I have a Google cache capture), I received no response. I was hoping to use OceanWP for a number of projects, but I don’t think I’ll be doing that now.
