Use Yoast’s meta description for the excerpt on pages

    Is there a way to pull from Yoast’s meta field to output the excerpts on page results? We have both posts and pages showing in results. Our pages actually don’t have any content to pull from, however we do have meta descriptions for them using the Yoast plugin. It’d be great if we could simply display the meta description as the excerpt.

    The meta description is stored in the custom field _yoast_wpseo_metadesc. The easiest way to fix this is to make Relevanssi index that custom field and then make Relevanssi excerpts use custom fields as material.
