Use WP-CLI to do mass settings changes?

Is there an API or way to use WP-CLI to do mass changes for the 100+ sites we have on our VPS? For instance, it would be super if we could run a script to set up backup jobs on new sites, or make sure all the sites have the maximum setting for low server resources.
