    Hello,

I’m currently using Cloudflare with APO but I’m interested in replacing it with your plugin. I’ve actually tried it, but I have a problem: it makes the admin menu of my site disappear, as if I’m not logged in.

Therefore, every time I need to edit something, I have to log into the admin area again. Is there a way to fix this problem?

In the image, the top left corner of my home page. I can access the dashboard simply by clicking the link “I miei siti” (“My sites”).

    Thanks,

    Mario

    Hi @editor,
Before you enable this plugin your website, make sure of the following:

    1. Disable APO inside CF dashboard
    2. Deactivate and delete the official Cloudflare plugin from your website
    3. Delete any other page caching plugin you have in your website
    4. Inside the CF Dashboard > Page Rules section, delete all the page rules related to caching, you can keep the page rules related to redirection and security (if any)
    5. Make sure you have page rule limit left, i.e. more page rules can be added
    6. Then install and setup this plugin in your website
    7. Also I would recommend taking advantage of the Cache Rules by following this guide: https://gist.github.com/isaumya/af10e4855ac83156cc210b7148135fa2
    8. make sure you have enabled Smart Tiered Cache inside your Cloudflare Dashboard > Caching > Tiered Caching section

I’m sure following this will resolve your issue.

    Hi @isaumya,

thanks for your answer. I had already followed points 1 to 3, I had no page rules at all, I have meanwhile activated Smart Tiered Cache and Cache Reserve.

I will follow your suggestion about point 7.

    Hi @editor,
That’s great. Let me know how things goes. Honestly, I’m not sure how much Cache Reserve will help you as it is dependent on your web server responses having the content-length header which is missing in 99.99% of the web servers out there. But if your server responds with the content-length added to the response header, then it is going to be a HUGEEE help and increase your cache HIT ratio a loooot.

    Check: https://developers.cloudflare.com/cache/about/cache-reserve/#cache-reserve-asset-eligibility

    Thanks @isaumya,

when I tried for the first time your plugin, the cache hit ratio plunged, and I had the problem of the disappearing link to the dashboard. That’s why I’ve given up. I will try again.

Moreover, in wordpress.com the .htaccess file is not writable.

Last question: do I have to use all the cache rules you show in your example, or just a few? I would like to keep things as simplest as possible.

Huh! That’s wired. There’s definitely some configuration issue. How long back it was? Was Smart Tiered Cache available then?

Add all the 4 rules as shown. Trust me, it doesn’t get simpler from that. It’s 4 rules separated by what it does to manage them easily.
