    Hello there,

For our Travel/photography blog we are considering to get this plugin and the Lightroom extension, and at this point we have a question.

My wife and I are both uploading pictures to our blog Media from separate instances of Lightroom and would like to know if this plugin would still work properly in this conditions.

Would changes in both Lightroom datbases still propagate to the blog Media?
    Would Total Synchronization still work?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

The big problem is that the Media is linked to the internal ID of the photo used by Lightroom. So basically if you use many catalogs towards the same website with WP/LR Sync, they might have the same IDs and then “eat” each other…

I could add an option for that let people use more than one catalog but the Total Synchronization wouldn’t work anymore. That option would take also a long time to develop so I am not sure when it would be available neither, actually I have been asked this only once before though I can totally understand that it could be useful.

    Cheers ??

    Hi Jordy,

Thank you for your answer. I understand the problem, not an easy one to solve.

Anyway, we’ll keep searching for a solution. And maybe we see this feature implemented in WP/LR Sync in the future.

    Have a nice one

    Cheers

And by the way, thank you also for the great plugins in the community

Thank you, I am trying my best ?? If you can’t find a way to do it, we can talk and think about an idea how to achieve this with the plugin. Basically, I could add an option to the LR plugin: the common ID could be based on the Photo ID in LR or the ID generated by WordPress. In both cases, there are pros and cons.

Excellent, that sounds like a great option. I’ll come back to you if we don’t find a better solution soon.

    Thanks a lot Jordy!
