• We are using an image map on our site with (currently) title attributes for the defined areas in order to produce rollover tooltips, providing a little info regarding our administrative regions. We’re not linking the image map areas anywhere.

When I tried installing Responsive Mobile-Friendly Tooltip and adding the rel=”tooltip” code to each image map area, the tooltips suddenly started appearing at the very top of the page…over our header. And every tooltip appeared in the same place rather than over their associated regions of the graphic.

When I deactivated the plugin (and removed the rel=”” code), our tooltips returned to their proper locations…albeit in their original, vanilla form.

Is there a trick to using this plugin with image maps?

Hi, image maps aren’t largely used, thats the reason this problem still exist.
I’ll look in to it, but unfortunately I don’t have much time and can’t promise a quick solution.
