I am using the free version on a site. I am adding Titles to make it easier for the client to tell me what they want moved or display things in an order. It appears that what I thought was the “Title” on the “Slider” tab “Currently in Your Slider” is the “Alternate Text” field content.

    Is this a bug??

Using Genesis 2.8.1, WordPress 5.0.3, with Gutenberg enabled.

  • Hi @mymothersdaughter

I apologize for any confusion, this isn’t a bug. The slider only uses the alt text on the free version and the paid version.

I can certainly request this as a possible feature request for the future. There’s no guarantees it will be implemented but it will be reviewed and discussed.

Can I help with anything else?

I just saw your response. It would be nice if the Title could be used. The alt-text only means something in the browser for SEO purposes. Having the title in there so we know what’s what as “descriptions” is more valuable I would think to the end user.
