Use this plugin as Digital Signage showing visitors?

    Hi,

    I’ve been looking for a plugin that meets my requirements. But it is almost impossible to find, this was close but I haven’t got the knowledge to adjust it for my needs. I saw that you were interested to know what the users want to use it for.

    This is my idea:
    I have a screen (digital signage screen) which shows a webpage that displays the visitors name and what company they are from. And also a small slider showing a video to catch your attention.
    The idea is that users log in and add new visitors, add a date, that they will be here from 2017-10-01 to 2017-10-05, which means their name and company will be shown on the welcome screen for 5 days.
    I see this plugin has a solution for temporary channels which is very close to what is needed. But my dream is that you are able to add a name, a company, and the dates on the same page and after that just save. And this will be shown on the webpage automatically. If there are multiple visitors it will be shown in a list.

    Is this something that is possible to make? Maybe an idea for another plugin?

    Hi there!

    Interesting idea. Unfortunately the visitors management is a bit out of scope for my plugin.

    But if you could make that page yourself (eg. a WordPress page where you type in the names manually), or use some kind of hosted service to build a page that displays current visitors like you want, .. there is now an easy was to add that page to your Foyer slideshows.

    Foyer version 1.3 introduces the External web page slide format. It displays a web page to your liking. This can be any kind of page, as long as it has its own URL.

    Would that work for you?

    Also, I build WordPress back-ends, so let me know if you are interested in a custom made visitors management back-end for you website with front-end list that could be included in Foyer slideshows.
