how do i get posts to show a “read more” link? how do i define the number of characters that is displayed before it cuts it off with a link to the rest of the post?

nm, found it. it’s in the top row of buttons when you post the link. wow, this forum really isn’t the best i’ve been too. are there other support forums for this great tool?

What? You didn’t get an answer in 6 minutes, and now you are complaining?
Furthermore, as you discovered – it was just a matter of looking around in your own admin panel, which is always a wise thing with a new tool…

As for some other threads started by you: your questions (regarding re-use of a plugin’s function or a specific WP function) require high coding skills. Many volunteer helpers (including myself) are not coders. You need to wait until a knowledgeable volunteer comes by and finds your topic(s).
BTW, bumping your posts has the result of removing those threads from the “unresolved” queue, where most of the helpers start looking when coming online.

No answer for 7 minutes, and you complain about the forum for that?

I think there’s only one “great tool” here.

i was referring to other posts. forgive me, but it’s just taking a little longer than most forums take for a response; and i’m not used to it.

as far as bumping, i’m gonna double check this, but i don’t normally bump my posts. usually if i reply to my own posts it’s because i found the solution or have new information to add. i’m pretty sure that’s held true here too.

…forgive me, but it’s just taking a little longer than most forums take for a response…

Be interesting to see how those other forums do it. Can you provide a link or two to those forums. Thanks for doing that.
