Use Shortcode instead of automatic placement

    I’ve looked though many support topics and cannot find an answer to this question/scenario.

    I want to use the [ez-toc] shortcode to determine the placement of the TOC on a page. I use Elementor. I can use the shortcode widget (or even text editor and other widgets) to get the TOC to display where I want it with no problem.

    The issue is that the TOC still displays on the page as per the plugin settings. Therefore I have two TOC’s displaying on the page. If I turn off the automatic insertion of the TOC, then I will only have the one TOC being displayed via the shortcode which is what I want. However, none of the TOC links will work in that state.

    What am I missing here? I’ve tried everything I can think of and it still doesn’t work. Please help!
