Use SAML for Authentication and LDAP for Authorization

    Hello,

    I’d like to know if it’s possible to use two separate auth plugins where one provides user authentication and the other provides role authorization. MiniOrange’s SAML and LDAP plugins each perform auth/auth on their own, but is it possible to use them together?

    As I understand, you want the users to be authenticated from the IdP (SAML based) and want to give access (roles) to the site according to their groups in the AD. Can you please let me know a few more details like –

    1. Where do your users exist in Active Directory or in the Identity Provider or in both?

    2. Does your Identity Provider connected to the Active Directory, i.e, users are authenticated using their AD credentials?

    3. Do you have Identity Provider or are you looking for the Identity Provider as well?

    4. You want to give access to your site based on the AD groups, right?

    Please let me know the above details so that I can provide you the right product for your requirements.
