Use PayPal for Manual Order Payment

  • Hi AngelEye,
    First, you’re doing a great job with development and support. Thank you.

    I am frequently receiving requests from international customers and need to get them a shipping quote from my distributor in advance of payment. This requires I make a manual order after procuring the quote.

    After adding the order and setting status to payment pending, I click the “Customer Payment Page” link and get this:
    “Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your location. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements.”

    It would be really great to be able to send the customer the page link and have them make payment. Is this possible with your plugin or could it be?

    Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    So, I just ran a test on our sandbox setup using PayPal for woocommerce V:1.4.9 and its working as expected.
    Here are few steps

    • While creating an order, make sure to select user / enter email
    • Once you have added all the user data , billing and shipping and provided Billing email as well, then from order actions on top right section, make sure to select Email Invoice / Order detail to customer
    • Once you will hit create order, user will get an email containing order details along with a link for Paying for the order. See Screenshot
    • User can simply click on that link, login to their user account and Pay for it.

    Additionally, when you will create that order then just above order status drop down you will see option for Payment link which you can send to custom er as well.
    Please try those steps and I am sure that option is going to work fine for you.
