Currently, download links generated with [download="yes"] result in a file that is named “download-ITEMKEY.pdf”. Would it be possible to serve the download with the original file name as in the Zotero library? In most libraries these are much more informative.

The concrete use case I have in mind is an academic site offering publications for download. It is beneficial to users/readers of these publications if the downloads have informative filenames rather than looking like gibberish.

Thanks for your work on ZotPress!

bumping this thread in the hope @kseaborn can comment on feasibility, or point me where to go in the code so I could hopefully make the change myself; from the zotero forums I understand filename is available as a property for attachment items so I’m hoping it would be relatively straightforward!
