Use only a specific taxonomy term??

I am trying to build a searchform that searches insides a specific taxonomy term.

Not quite understand.

is it then possible to not have the “search all” for taxonomy?

Yes, just leave “Search All text” empty, and it will not showed in the option.

For the searching inside a taxonomy term i mean this:
example: I got a category named Flowers. I want to search all posts that has the category Flowers.

I have the same problem, i try to explain it:

I need to filter my search results using taxonomies (TAGS specificly). So far so good.
Now, i did it just by excluding all TAGS that i dont need to show on the search form and results, and it works fine.

But what about if i will add new tags while posting new articles or pages? For every tag im going to add i need to go back to the taxonomy field setting and exclude that TAG.

I hope to explained the problem as well and you get what’s the point.

@laneuscita13, unfortunately, yes, you have to manually update the exclude tag.
To solve this problem is separate the tags you want to exclude with another custom taxonomy, and don’t add this taxonomy to the search from.

How can i do that?

Cause if i want to search in the category (=taxonomy) for all posts linked to Flowers (category term) then i have to put all Term ID’s of all other category items inside the “exclude Term ID”-box to have only a search in the desired category term. Or is there another way to do that?

Are you using OR relationship for the taxonomy filter? Use AND instead.
