Use of shortcodes in footnotes

    Have you considered modifying modern-footnotes.php to allow use of shortcodes within footnote contents? I’m using the Zotpress plugin to manage source lists and citations for posts, but I’d prefer to use footnotes, rather than the in-text citations that Zotpress provides. I added a line to modern-footnotes.php ($content = do_shortcode($content);), and it appears to give me what I wanted.

    @philology – thanks for the suggestion! I just released this change in the new version of the plugin. Could you take a look and be sure it’s working for your purposes?
