Hi I have set up the plugin with an “additional” cookie automatically set on initial page load. (I am aware that this behaviour is not the norm, but these cookies are for a self hosted visitor analytics package with no data sharing with third parties. Nobody sees the analytics but me).

The banner displays “accept” and “reject” as well as a link to the modal. All seems to work correctly except : when I click “reject” the pre-loaded cookies are not unloaded. Is this the correct behaviour ? or am I missing something. Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi Just looking at this a second time, I notice that the reject button removes the script from the page source code. So this probably means that the residual cookies can no longer be used by the analytics package. Do you confirm ? Thanks

    Hi @jackaspades,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

We can confirm the “reject” button removes all the scripts injected to the site, and hide the banner. This means, no analytics data will be provided as the script are rejected by user.
If you prefer, you can keep the cookies enabled by default, in this case when the user visits your site first time, the banner will be visible and analytic scripts loaded.
You can remove the “reject” button from the banner in the Banner Settings tab, the user can click to “accept” button or can disable the analytics cookies by opening the settings screen.

    Hope this makes sense.

Yes makes good sense. Thanks for the fast response. And by the way, this is the only GDPR plugin that looks (to me at least) to be doing everything right. I tried several. Some conflict with other plugins (ACF in particular) and others just don’t work. So thanks again !
