In the WordPress edit page. a section called Recommended Links exists. It has a whole lot of words/phrases in oblongs. I can select “Apply all” Probably I can select one or more singly.
I would like to know what the “Select all” does. I cannot find the different words/phrases in the list of links.

    In the WordPress edit page.

Which page are you thinking of? What’s the URL (just from the /wp-admin… point)

At the bottom of a post and below the path p, it shows Recommended Links and Apply all in blue and then a series of oblong panels . Each panel contains a word or a phrase.
If I click Apply all, the panels become surrounded in orange.
If I rollover a panel I receive the option to visit.
When I visited Betty the Wikipedia page came up with details on Betty Suarez.
It appears that this material has no effect on the post at all and just offers the opportunity to obtain more information outside the actual post opened at the time.
Am I correct? If not, please explain.
I hope that answers your first question
Re the second question, I do not know. I do not know how to make this submission a draft so that I can leave and go and look.
Perhaps when I click Post i will have that option

I have absolutely no idea where you’re seeing this…

Re the second question, I do not know. I do not know how to make this submission a draft so that I can leave and go and look.

What URL are you on that you’re seeing this?

that’s clearly being added by a plugin or something with the theme, as that’s not a core WordPress function.

    Thanks for this info.

Should I try to delete it?

How do I delete it – if I should.

Should I find it listed the plug ins part?

Start by turning off all your plugins and see if it goes away.

If not, change your theme to “Twenty Eleven” and see if it goes away.

Once you figure out where it’s coming from, you can start turning things back on.

Thanks I use word.com (not word.org)and it does not allow plug ins.

Perhaps one sneaked in I shall check.

    I use Twenty Eleven

However does this information in the panels make anything on WordPress work badly or not at all. If not perhaps easiest to just ignore and use when I want to get information

I shall try. However I use word.com (and not word.com) that does not allow plug ins. Perhaps one sneaked in!

    I use Twenty Eleven.

Question – However would any harm occur to the functioning of WordPress if I just left the material on the site and used it when I wanted to do so?

Sorry I should have said not word.org

If you use wordpress.COM you need to post on wordpress.com, not here.

This site is for SELF HOSTED WordPress installs.
