Use Non-WordPress Template?

  • Can I purchase a template from a third party, and upload it and use it on WordPress? I am not talking about purchasing a premium wordpress theme, but of using a website template for a static website.

    I want the website to be a static website (business), with a WP blog integrated into it (for SEO), and use WP as the CMS. Is this possible, if it is not a “wordpress theme” (premium or free)?

  • No, WP doesn’t work with anything else that is not build as a theme is supposed to be done.
    You can have your own “template” for your website – but if you want your blog to look the same, you will need to create a theme based on that template. There is no workaround.
