• This is a great plugin, I use it for all my sites.
Pros: Uses Instagram API, Lots of options, pretty easy to setup and get going.
Cons: I usually have to re-connect it to instagram every couple months. This might be more instagrams fault than the developers but it’s kind of annoying.
The styling can be a bit touchy at times. I think it uses some kind of javascript to calculate the heights of the images, I’m sure there’s a good reason for it, but it can create issues when trying to adjust css.

    Hey veggie_89,

I’m glad you use this on all of your sites and thanks for the feedback! In case you were wondering about the “Cons” you listed, I can explain a bit.

You are right that the access token expiration issue was something controlled by Instagram. Luckily, with the recent updates to their APIs, this no longer seems to be an issue. Access tokens will only expire if something is changed with the associated Facebook/Instagram account and will not randomly expire.

You are also right that we use JavaScript to control the heights of images. The images from Instagram come in all different kinds of aspect ratios so our plugin will apply some cropping/height adjustments in order to achieve the perfect squares in the grid layout of the feed.

If you ever need help achieving a certain look using custom CSS, we are always happy to help!
