    Hi Matty,

    Outstanding work (plugin + support) !
    Subscribe2 works fine, except that the emails sent are not so, euh… sexy.

    I tried to put HTML custom code in the templates, but that seems to be ineffective.
    So, is purchasing Subscribe2 HTML the only way to dress emails nicely ?

    Thanks
    Corinne

  • @corinne,

    If you are suing Subscribe2 is digest mode then yes, HTML will only be available in the paid version but even then it is limited.

    If you are using per-post emails HTML is possible for Registered Users only. If you want HTML emails for your Public Subscribers then, again, it’s the paid version. (Make sure you can get the HTML layout you like in the free version before buying though).

    #Matty,

    Thanks for the quick answer.

    What do you mean ? What HTML layout in the free version ?

    @corinne,

    If you are using per-post emails, you can enter HTML tags into the templates and see the results when you send preview emails to the email address of the currently logged in user. You should get four emails, plain text in full and excerpt forms and HTML if full and excerpt forms also.

    You can fully test what the HTML emails will look like with the preview emails before you buy. Bear in mind if you are viewing in Outlook it probably won’t work very well but that’s becuase Outlook is using Word 2007 to render the content, on Microsoft know why they did that.
