Use Gallery Image

I have tested this plugin and it seems to work well with the image changing. However, I have noticed the following:

1. The image will only change if the first/main gallery image is selected. This is not ideal if the user has navigated away from the first image before selecting dropdown options.
2. The new image is wholely independant of the gallery. This is differing behavior from variable products, where the variation image will switch/select to a gallery image if that image exists in the product gallery.

Is there likelyhood of these issues being addressed?
