    @bergrachael – I believe there are existing plugins that show post content using shortcodes. If you can’t find one I will create one and release it. That way you add a [post id=123] shortcode to your popup and it loads the content of the post.

    I found one. Thanks so much Daniel. I didn’t even think of that.

    Actually it wasn’t as simple as I thought. The shortcode caused the content to overlap the edges of the popup overlay and there was no close button and didn’t respond well to scrolling etc…

    @bergrachael – make sure fixed position is off on the popup but it sounds like their shortcode is adding CSS that makes it do that. If the close button doesn’t appear it is most likely to many closing div tags in your post content.
