New user. Do I need to upload all new images to use Sunshine? I don’t see an option to use those already in the media library. That is discouraging.

  • Did you try.
Sunshine Settings > Galleries > Show images in Media Library

That switch does nothing and doesn’t apply in this case anyway. I want to add existing images from my media library to a sunshine gallery.

Supposedly, this switch is supposed to let me see images uploaded to the gallery in the media library. “by default sunshine hides images uploaded to sunshine galleries in the media library….”. The images appear in the media library whether this box is checked or not. Thank you for trying.

Sunshine is built for creating client galleries after a unique, custom session with that client to help you sell prints. This is why it is not built to use Media from other areas of your site as the images would be unique to just that one client. I understand there are others who may want to use Sunshine in other ways but this just explains why it is the way it is.

And just to be clear: there is no way to use images uploaded elsewhere, they must be uploaded directly to each gallery.

Thank you for that information and that approach makes sense. Unfortunately, this won’t meet my needs then. A very nice product otherwise. Best regards!
