I am interested in buying Tutor LMS to use it for its intended function but I would like to start to build my site with live/face to face online lessons.
What are my possibilities to set up a course like “Thai for Your Holiday Trip” with say 5 lessons but no content. As the student takes the first online class I as teacher will tick one class finished after having the first video call.
I know this can be solved MUCH simpler than an LMS but I want to slowly transition to pre-defined courses with videos and images and keep student profiles alive from the start. Also the payment solution and the count down of taken classes (if that is possible) will assist me a lot in tracking students.

If I can control this my next question is, can I integrate a live video call in my class so that will be the platform with my student? Or are there other plugins that work with Tutor LMS?
I want a calendar function too, to book the lesson. Also this can be quite easily solved with a separate plugin but is there anyway for the calendar to access to student info in the booking?
I can also consider to get this functionality coded for me, if your system is open enough to enable that easy. I read another question, and you seem to be quite open to giving possibilities if solved by the customer.

  • Hello @amplitudo,

Thanks for your interest in Tutor LMS. Sorry to disappoint but as of now, no live broadcasting is supported by Tutor LMS. Video lessons are well supported with various hosting options available e.g. Youtube, Vimdeo, Embedded URL and so on.

The free version allows you to create quizzes related to individual lesson. There are about 10 different types of quiz options ( e.g. True/False, Fill in the Blanks, MCQS, Image Matching and so on ) available although not all quiz options are available with the free version.

The pro version includes features like Assignments, Prerequisites, Content Drip, Gradebook, Multiinstructors and so on.

Students can communicate with their instructors through Emails and Question & Answer feature.

For monetization, Woocommerce, Paid Membership Pro and Easy Digital Downloads options are available.
