Use CDN URLs for images returned in posts

Great, handy API!
Only problem we’re having is that images returned in get_posts as part of the content element, all refer to the site’s base URL, and not to the CDN URL being used.
How can we override get_posts to use the CDN’s base URL for all images and thumbnails?
