Use a shortcode in Site Tagline?

  • I was wondering how one would go about doing this..I wanted to make a tagline for my blog/archive that says something along the lines of “389 concerts archived and counting!”, where the number would grow as I added more posts. I found a useful plugin to save time creating my own shortcodes, which can be found here:

    However as I am sure you know, shortcodes don’t really work in areas that aren’t widgets, pages, posts and the like. Is there a way I can get the shortcode to work within my site’s tagline? I probably don’t need my hand held through the whole process, but a nudge in the right direction would be really helpful. Thanks!
